The Las Vegas band dethrone London trio The xx, whose second album Coexist slips to No.4. US pop-rocker Pink enters at No.2 with her new album The Truth About Love and The Script drop one place to No.3. Uk audiences continue their love affair with Emeli Sande, as her debut album, Our Version Of Events holds firm at No.5.
Canadian pop sensation Carly Rae Jepsen enters the Top Ten at No.9 with her debut album Kiss and Grizzly Bear chart at No.17 with Shields. Band Of Horses' Mirage Rock is new at No.20, Rival Sons enter at No.31 with Head Down, Ritchie Sambora is new at No.35 with Aftermath Of The Lowdown and Ben Folds Five score a new album hit at No.40 with The Sound Of The Life Of The Mind.
On the singles chart, The Script maintain the No.1 spot with their Will.i.am collaboration 'Hall Of Fame', keeping Example at bay as he enters at No.2 with his latest pop-rap-rave hybrd, 'Say Nothing'. Dappy becomes the second N-Dubz star in as many weeks to miss the Top Ten as his new single 'Good Intentions' charts at No.12. Tulisa last week entered at No.11 with her single 'Live It Up' - this week dropping to No.24.
Jessica Wright scores her first hit single at No.36 with her track, 'Dance All Night'.
