Lady Gaga has told a French radio station that the The Pope's opinions on gay marriage "do not matter".

The 'Judas' singer, who is regularly hitting the headlines for her controversial behaviour, has hit back at the Pope's opinions on gay marriage.

Speaking to Europe 1, she stated; “I think that gay marriage is going to happen. It must. We are not actually equal humanity if we are not allowed to freely love one another."

“What the Pope thinks of being gay does not matter to the world. It matters to the people who like the Pope and follow the Pope. It is not a reflection of all religious people.”

This outburst follows comments Pope Benedict made to the The French Bishops last Friday, stating:
“Marriage and the family are institutions that must be promoted and defended from every possible misrepresentation of their true nature, since whatever is injurious to them is injurious to society itself.”

Today, the singer posted a nude photograph of herself sat on the toilet to her millions of fans.

It has been rumoured that Lady Gaga was told to lose weight by her record label this week, resulting in the outlandish star later being spotted in a fat suit.
