US TV show Glee's quest to take every song in the world and give it a sugar-coated makeover has led them to covering Hole's hit 'Celebrity Skin'.

The cover version, which you can see below, sees characters Brittany and Sam, taking on the 1998 classic, written by Courtney Love and Billy Corgan. The song will air as part of the makeover themed episode airing on US TV this Thursday (Sept 27).

Courtney Love, never one for protecting a legacy, appears to approve the cover and has Retweeted links to the clip via her Twitter page this week.

Gotye, meanwhile, criticised the show's version of his hit single 'Somebody That I Used To Know', labeling it: "ultra dry, like it's playing to you from a cardboard box."
