Taylor Swift to play Joni Mitchell in 'Girls Like Us'

Fresh faced Taylor Swift is set to play Joni Mitchell in the upcoming film 'Girls Like Us',it has beenh reported today.

Variety reports that Swift will star in the film, a big-screen adaptation of Sheila Weller's book that examines Mitchell and her 70s friends Carole King and Carly Simon. 

Rumours are also flying as to who will play Carly Simon, speculations include Allison Williams from HBO 'Girls' and Jessica Pare who plays Megan (Don Draper's wife) from Mad Men. 
 
Sony Pictures of yet to confirm 'Girls Like Us', but the project does seem to be running smoothly thus far. For the role of Carole King Alison Pill from Newsroom and Olivia Thirlby from Dredd 3D have both been screen tested. 

Taylor Swift recetly enjoyed huge success with her new single 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together', which broke Lady Gaga's record for the fastest selling digital single in US chart history.
