Pop legend Cher has spoken of her love for the cover of 'Believe' performed on X Factor by contestant Ella Henderson, saying the youngster's version moved her to tears.
Henderson was seen performing the cover of Cher's 1998 international chart topper on Sunday night's show, with new judge Nicole Scherzinger turning on the waterworks during the audition. Now, it seems the slowed-down version of the camp dance classic had the same effect on the track's original singer.
"Went on Utube 2 c young girl sing Believe!Tears came 2 my eyes! So Touching! a Great version of a Great song," Cher tweeted after watching the video.
Henderson, 16, is one of the favourites in this year's X Factor. She is reported as saying that to have Cher hear her version of the track is 'mind-blowing'.
"I'm still pinching myself!" She says, reports STV. "To have the actual Cher tweet that she'd seen my performance was mind-blowing. I've been smiling all day. It is quite frankly unbelievable! I can't believe she cried."
Ella will next been seen at the Judges House stage of X Factor 2012. Earlier this week it was revealed that boyband Rough Copy had been forced to pull out of the show as Visa issues meant they were unable to travel to Las Vegas to continue in the competition.
