Bon Jovi star Richie Sambora has responded to claims by Green Day that a performance with the 'Living On A Prayer' stars was their worst gig ever, saying he has no memory of the show.
Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong told Kerrang magazine earlier this month that Bon Jovi were no fun to play with, telling the rock mag: "The best is probably The Hives, they're a great live band. [As for the worst] Oh boy, I have to go with Bon Jovi."
In a new interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Bon Jovi's Sambora has apologised to the band and said that he may have been drunk during the show with Green Day.
"Either I was incapacitated at that point or I just don't remember it," he tells the magazine. "I'm sorry he had such a bad time."
Armstrong is currently having an even worse time than he did on stage with Bon Jovi, having this week been admitted to rehab after an on stage rant on stage at the iHeartRadio festival in Las Vegas.
