Sia, Stargate and Benny Bianco produce first track from seventh album
Rihanna has premiered her new single 'Diamonds' online today. Listen to the track below.
The single is taken from the US star's seventh studio album and is written by David Guetta collaborator, Sia, to whom Rihanna referred to earlier as her 'wife' on Twitter earlier today (26 September, 2012). 'Diamonds' has been produced by production superstars Stargate and Benny Bianco.
The track is a mid-tempo electronic track, with subtle beats and a catchy 'Shine bright light a diamond' hook.
Speaking to iHeartRadio ahead of the track's online debut, Rihanna said:"It's laid-back but it's hopeful. It's a record that... gives me such a great feeling when I listen to it. The lyrics are very hopeful and positive, but it's about love and... a little different to what people would expect, I think."
The artwork for the single depicts the world's most expensive smoke, with Rihanna rolling a cigarette with diamonds instead of tobacco.
