Canadian electro duo Crystal Castles have announced the release of new single 'Wrath Of God' and album, (III).
The single will get its worldwide radio premiere tonight (26 September, 2012) on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show and will be available to listen to on the band's Soundcloud account from 8pm. The album will be released on 5 November, 2012.
Speaking of the new album, Ethan Kath says: "We wanted the new album to sound like a completely different and new experience.
The pair produced the album after ditching the synthesizers and keyboards used on albums I and II in order to record a 'raw' sounding new record.
"Oppression is a theme, in general," says Alice Glass. "A lot of bad things have happened to people close to me since II and it's profoundly influenced my writing as I've realized there will never be justice for them.
"I didn't think I could lose faith in humanity any more than I already had, but after witnessing some things, it feels like the world is a dystopia where victims don't get justice and corruption prevails.
"We'd limit ourselves to one take on each song because we believe the first take is the rawest expression of an idea."
