Justin Bieber has expressed his sadness at the tragic death of a six-year-old fan who lost her battle with cancer this week.
The singer met young fan Avalanna Routh in February this year and was referred to as 'Mrs Bieber' by his fans. Justin Bieber took to Twitter to express his sorrow at her death.
"Just got the worst news ever," Bieber tweeted. "One of the greatest spirits i have ever known is gone. please pray for her family and for her. … RIP Avalanna. i love you."
Earlier in 2012, a Facebook campaign was launched to send Avalanna to New York to meet Bieber. The pair met at Candy Land in NY, spending two hours together. Her mother later described Bieber as 'charming' and said he 'interacted beautifully with Avalanna'.
Bieber also shared a photo of himself with the tragic youngster.
