Lady Gaga has responded from comments from a US politician that she is a 'slut' in a tweet thanking him for his 'support'.
The 'Born This Way' star put her tongue in her cheek and took to Twitter to thank Staten Island Borough President James Molinaro for his comments when he said: "This slut is influencing many, many children."
Gaga addressed Molinaro personally with a direct tweet - which she made sure was visible to her 29,820,588 Twitter followers.
"To @scottmstringer of Manhattan, thanku for your support of my activism as a new yorker," and then adding, "You show political integrity + a modern vernacular."
The star has become something of an expert at turning critics words against them, after recently posing in her bikini after tabloids began referring to her as 'porker face' when less-than-slim photos appear online.
