Rick Ross and Young Jeezy reportedly came to blows backstage at the BET Awards this weekend.
The pair were both in Atlanta for the recording of the annual hip-hop award ceremony and became involved in a violent incident backstage. It is believed shots were fired by a member of one of the rappers entourage.
Eyewitnesses told TMZ that they saw the two rappers in a heated debate that escalated into violence when the pair began shoving each other. Security for both rappers, as well as a team hired by BET stepped in to stop the fight going any further.
However, TMZ also reports that a member of Ross's entourage fired a gun in a nearby parking lot.
HOT 97 DJ Funkmaster Flex live tweeted the scuffle, saying: "Jeezy and Rick Ross just had words backstage!! Pushing and shoving!!!" Adding, "Beef just spread to the parking lot!!!" and "Shots fired in parking lot!!! Gunman arrested!!! Back to the show and Club later!!!"
Police have confirmed that one man was arrested at the BET Awards but denied rumours of any guns being fired.
