Katy Perry is said to be 'devastated' after her ex-boyfriend was killed after reportedly murdering his landlord last week.
The shocking story of Johnny Lewis, an actor with roles in The OC and Sons of Anarchy on his CV, emerged after he was found dead on September 26th. He is alleged to have killed his elderly landlord before falling to his death.
A source close to US Weekly said that Perry "is devastated. She had to separate from him to get ahead and focus on her career. He was in trouble then and she couldn't help him. A lot of her songs were partially inspired by him.
"I know 'The One That Got Away' and 'Circle the Drain' are partly about him, as well as Travis McCoy. But she was young and it was a time in her life she cherishes."
The 28-year-old actor has appeared in Sons of Anarchy and The OC. He dated Perry between 2005 and 2006, before the singer shot to international fame.
According to US gossip website TMZ, law enforcement sources claim the actor was found dead on a driveway on Wednesday morning this week (26 September, 2012).
