It has been announced that Katy B's new album will be finished by the end of the year.

Her collaborator and mentor DJ Geeneus said that a second LP will be "done by the end of the year" according to the Guardian. The DJ is the founder of the pirate radio station Rinse FM.

"We'll work right up till the last day, because sometimes it's on the last day that you come up with a track."

The 'Broken Record' singer is said to have taken a more romantic bend, and is about her transition from a girl into a woman.

Katy B said she’s moving away from a dubstep sound and trying something poppier on her new album.

The singer is currently working on the follow up to her 2011 debut album ‘On a Mission’ with celebrity producer Mark Ronson.

She has previously stated that she felt very "pressured" to make a second album.

Katy's debut On A Mission was released in 2011 and peaked number two in the UK charts.
