Muse score the fourth No.1 album of their career this week as new album The 2nd Law topples Mumford & Sons from the top spot.
The Westcountry trio's latest album has already been certified gold after one week on sale, joining previous releases Absolution, Black Holes and Revelations and The Resistance in giving the band a No.1 album.
Last week's No.1 , Mumford & Sons' record-breaking Babel, drops to No.2, while The Overtones enter at No.6 with Higher and ELO's new hits collection All Over The World: The Very Best Of is new at No.10. DJ Fresh enters at No.14 and Van Morrison's new collection is new at No.15.
Other new entries comes from John Wilson Orchestra (No.18), Lower Than Atlantis (No.25), Beth Orton (No.26), Flying Lotus (No.34), Tori Amos (No.36) and Papa Roach (No.37).
On the singles chart, Rihanna proves her pop might as she hits the No.1 spot ahead of huge new releases from One Direction (who enter at No.3) and Adele (new at No.4). Ellie Goulding's 'Anything Can Happen' enters at No.5 and Nicki Minaj returns to the charts with brand new track 'Va Va Voom' at No.20.
