Depeche Mode are set to make a 'special announcement' at a Paris press conference later this month, sparking speculation that the band will reveal release plans for their next album.
The band have been working on new material throughout 2012 but have made no official statement on their release plans. It is now expected they will name a 2013 date for the release of new material. The band will make their statement on 23 October, 2012 at 1:30pm. The press conference will be streamed live on the band's official website.
Ealier in 2012, Dava Gahan of Depeche Mode spoke to Clash magazine about the new material, telling them: "We've recorded probably close to twenty songs so far, and they're all starting to get in pretty good shape. We're now starting to whittle that down what's gonna be the record."
Depeche Mode's last studio album release was their 2009 collection, Sounds Of The Universe which scored the band a No.2 hit.
