Devon trio Muse have revealed their desire to conquer the US on their next step to world domination. Their latest album The 2nd Law, recently reached No.2 on the US Billboard charts, but they now want 'something more.'

Frontman Matt Bellamy has revealed his expanding ambitions, and spoken of how he never imagined achieving such huge success when the band first formed.

Speaking to The Daily Star of his stateside ambitions, Bellamy says: "Coldplay are the only English group to have had real success there in the last 15 years.

"You don't think about it when you start, you're just content to be recognised on home soil. But then you want something more."

Bellamy has also revealed that he wishes there were more stripped back songs on the album.

"I'm disappointed that we don't have many acoustic tracks, more quiet moments," he said. "When I left the studio after having laid the foundations for the single 'Madness' it was sparse."

Bellamy recently claimed that the band's upcoming live shows will be the best they have ever performed - and compared the band's new tour to Pink Floyd.
