X Factor winner Leona Lewis has revealed a sleepwalking habit which could end in tragedy, admitting a fear that she could fall from her balcony at night.

The singer, whose third album Glassheart is released next week, has opened up about her sleepwalking.

Lewis admits that the night time habit can be harmless, telling the Daily Star "I get up and basically I'll do strange things like put my phone in my fridge, or put something where it's not supposed to be. And I just won't remember doing it. It's usually at times when I'm really stressed out.”

However, the 27 year old does fear that it could lead to a more tragic event, explaining “I have a balcony, so I have to make sure my windows are locked."

Luckily her sleepwalking has been harmless to date with Lewis admitting to being more creative when asleep despite her fears. "I usually dream of melodies. When I wake up I have them in my head. I usually come up with things in the middle of the night because that's when my mind is the quietest. I always have my tape recorder, pen and pad by my bed just in case."
