The President of the United states has issued one of the most crucial statements of his career - Barack Obama has commented on the Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey American Idol row.
The US president was pushed on the serious issues during a US radio interview during his re-election campaign in America. Obama was quizzed on the recently-leaked video clip which showed 'Starships' rapper Minaj screaming at Mariah Carey during shooting on the current season of American Idol in the US.
The ever optimistic Obama has revealed he is confident that the fiery pair will sort out their differences.
"I think that they are going to be able to sort it out," US website TMZ reports the president as saying during an interview with Michael Yo on US radio. "I am confident. I'm all about bringing people together, working for the same cause.
"I think both outstanding artists are going to be able to make sure that they're moving forward and not going backwards."

Obama also stated his preference for Mariah Carey in the same interview, saying that she had previously performed events for the US Democrat party.
"Mariah," he said when pushed on his preference. "She's actually done some events for us. I've gotten to know her and Nick [Cannon, Mariah Carey's husband]. She's a wonderful lady."
He also added that he had never met Minaj, but enjoyed listening to her tracks, saying: "Nicki, I don't know, but I've got her on my iPod."
Earlier this month, a video leaked online showing Nicki Minaj yelling at Mariah Carey on the American Idol set, saying: "If you've got a f***ing problem, handle it. I told them I’m not f***ing putting up with your f***ing highness over there" - among other things.
