Beyonce has confirmed her appearance at next year's Super Bowl show in the US with a statement saying simply 'Countdown to touchdown'.
One of the biggest shows in US sport, Super Bowl XLVII will take place on 13 February 2013 and the 'Halo' singer will perform at the event. The attraction of playing the event for Beyonce is obvious - the 2012 show attract a total audience of nearly 167million viewers.
The Washington Post revealed rumours of the show yesterday - and hinting at a possible reunion with her former Destiny's Child co-stars, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
Fans have been hoping for a reunion for the 'Survivor' stars since their split in 2006 - but the only recent news they had was the recent release of their Greatest Hits collection, Playlist.

Madonna performed at the superbowl in 2012 - bringing with her a host of big name special guests. The 'Girl Gone Wild' performed with Nicki Minaj, Cee-Lo Green, LMFAO and M.I.A.. Viewing figures state that 114million people watched the performance. With a history of headline acts teaming up with fellow stars for show stopping duets, it would make perfect sense for Beyonce to reunite with her Destiny's Child bandmates - or even husband Jay-Z for a performance of her hit 'Crazy In Love', on which her featured.
