Red Hot Chili Peppers played a unique show in bass player Flea's back yard last night (October 16) to celebrate his 50th birthday.
The event was held in the Los Feliz neighbourhood of Los Angeles and was part of a fundraising effort for Flea's music school, the Silver Lake Conservatory.
The occasion also included an art auction, where a Banksy piece was sold for over $100,000 and a set by punk outfit Rancid.
Rolling Stone reported the Chili Peppers played a nine song set, including a cover of Neil Young's 'Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere.' This sat alongside classic tracks like 'Give it Away' and 'Soul to Squeeze' and newer song 'The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie.
