Lady Gaga has reportedly been offered £3million to star in the sequel to the Zoolander movie.

The follow up to the 2001 cult comedy is already being strongly anticipated, with Ben Stiller confirmed to keep his role as fashion model Derek Zoolander.

Will Ferrell and Owen Wilson are also to reprise their roles as Jacobim Mugatu and Hansel, respectively.

Lady Gaga is among Kate Moss, Kate Upton, Heidi Klum and Adriana Lima as options to play Stiller's love interest - although she is reportedly the number one choice.

A Hollywood source told The Sun: "Gaga is top of their wish-list. She has the talent and attitude - and an amazing sense of humour."

If Gaga accepts the role, it might not be her only foray into Hollywood stardom - actress Adelaide Clemens recently let slip that the artist is writing a song for the soundtrack of the upcoming Great Gatsby adaptation.

Stiller, who is also directing and producing the film as well as starring in it, recently told Empire magazine about his plans.

He said: "It's ten years later and most of it is set in Europe. I don't want to give away too much, but it's basically Derek and Hansel ten years later."

Filming is due to start early next year.
