Cheryl Cole was left a little red-faced last night when a TV performance of her No.1 single was broadcast - without the planned backing track.

The chart topping star was due to mime her hit 'Call My Name' on Channel 4's Stand Up To Cancer show and perform an energetic dance routine. However, as the track began, Cheryl's live vocals were heard - and left much to be desired.

The Girls Aloud star, who yesterday (19 October 2012) joined her Girls Aloud bandmates to announce a new album and live tour, sang breathlessly and out of tune on live television. Watch the video below.

Cole performed on - dancing and occasionally singing - before the backing track of pre-recorded live vocals began on the second verse.

Tickets for the recently announced Girls Aloud 2013 tour go onsale in just five days, at 9am on 24 October.

Despite Cheryl Cole's claims in her autobiography that this would be it for the band, the girls stated in a press conference that they don't know yet what's going to happen after the tour.

Girls Aloud's new single, as premiered earlier this week is officially released on November 18.
