Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding is said to be 'incredibly stressed' after having three potentially cancerous moles removed from her back.

The 'Something New' singer has been ressured by doctors that the moles have been removed in time. However, the star is still said to be extremely concerned as she awaits results of the tests.

"This is an incredibly stressful time for her," says a friend of Harding to The Sun newspaper. "It's early days and the doctors are very positive - but the word 'cancer' is terrifying to hear and Sarah is naturally stressing about it."

Harding is said to have the full support of her Girls Aloud colleagues Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts, Nadine Coyle and Kimberley Walsh, with the same, unnamed source claiming: "The girls are completely behind her.

"Some of the fans have suggested she hasn't been enthusiastic about the tour, but the girls have told her not to stress because she'll only run herself down and make herself sick."

Girls Aloud last week announced a string of live dates in 2013 as well as a new Greatest Hits album, which is set for release on 26 November 2012. The girls are currently asking fans to choose the tracklisting for the bonus disc on the release through their official website.

Tickets for Girls Aloud's 2013 tour go on sale on Friday, 26 October, 2012. For more information visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
