Dappy has claimed he would be 'devastated' if his debut solo album doesn't score him a No.1.

The N-Dubz rapper released his first solo album 'Bad Intentions' on Monday, which is currently at No.6 in the mid-week chart.

He eloquently spoke to the Daily Star about how greatly upset he would be if he did not climb up the chart before the final positions are announced on Sunday.

"If it don't go number one I will be devastated, I'm going to curl up in a ball and cry.

"If I don't go number one what am I gonna do? It's over? Obviously I got Taylor Swift and Lawson also releasing albums and I'm s**t-scared if I tell you the truth."

The Camden-based vocalist also expressed his concern that his ability to 'feed his kids' may be threatened if the album does not hit the top of the chart.

He added: "It's got to stay at number one or number two midweek and got to stay that position by miles for Sunday. I got a dream to fulfil and kids to feed."

As well as his implied 'starving family', the garish head-gear enthusiast must also compete with N-Dubz band-mates Tulisa and Fazer's debut albums.

One facebook user reacted particularly jovially to Dappy's worries.

He commented: "Can we film this sad low-life's reaction to when he doesn't get Number 1? Might just get more hits combined than all of his videos!"

The album includes the singles 'No Regrets', 'Rockstar', and Good Intentions'- but as this stage looks unlikely to knock singer-songwriter of the moment, Jake Bugg, off the top-spot.
