Labrinth looks set for his first UK number one single with 'Beneath Your Beautiful', a track featuring Emeli Sande.
The song is currently 14,000 sales ahead of the second place competition, Swedish House Mafia's 'Don't You Worry Child'.
According to midweek data from the Official Charts Company, JLS are also on track for their ninth Top 10 single with their imaginatively named song 'Hottest Girl In The World', which is currently in place at number three. Calvin Harris and Florence Welch's 'Sweet Nothing' was a former number one but has now dropped to number four, and Rihanna's 'Diamonds' is in at number five.
In the midweek Official Albums Chart, Taylor Swift is currently in the lead with 'Red', her fourth album, which would be Taylor's first ever UK number one. Emeli Sande is also doing well - the deluxe version of her debut album 'Our Version Of Events' is following 'Red' at number two.
Dappy: Not going to get a number one album, might 'curl up in a ball and cry'.
Number three is held by Lawson's debut 'Chapman Square', with Jake Bugg at number four and 'Babel' by Mumford and Sons at number five.
Dappy, who earlier this week claimed he would be 'devastated' without a number one album, is only at number six - so devastation looks likely.
The duo performed live on Sunday night's X Factor results show. The track is the sixth single to be taken from Labrinth's deut album Electronic Earth and will also be included on the re-released version of Emeli Sande's debut album, Our Version Of Events.
