Neil Young took part in a Twitter Q&A session yesterday (24 October) and in one shock response to a fan he said "who is Bono?"
The legendary rocker spent an hour on Twitter to answer some fan questions, ranging from possibly working with Axl Rose, Jack White and Dave Grohl to his remark about the U2 frontman.
A fan named with the username "akemi99" tweeted "what do you like about foster the people? #askneil btw, bono said he likes them, too... it is surprising two super stars like them." To which Young replied "who is Bono? #askneil"
It is not the first time Young has made at dig at Bono, he also indirectly slammed the U2 man in his autobiography Waging Heavy Peace for the "long-winded oratory" Bono gave when introducing Frank Sinatra when Sinatra accepted a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammys.

Other notable things to come out of the Q&A included Young saying he likes Jake White and Radiohead and thinks he will collaborate with Dave Grohl. Young dismissed a few political questions about the upcoming U.S. Presidential election and when asked if he'd be making any more 'rock operas' similar to his Greendale project, he responded: "anything can happen".
Neil Young and Crazy Horse release their new album, Psychedelic Pill on October 29.
