Prince debuted new song 'Rock 'n' Roll Love Affair' during a set on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in the US earlier this week.
The legendary star's performance is upbeat, with the singer and his huge backing band - complete with horn section - pleasing the live crowd. The song is the first new material since Prince released his album 20Ten in July 2010.
The clip from the show is from YouTube and considering that Prince is notoriously strict when it comes to having his music available to stream on YouTube, the surprise video is the first official instance of the new track appearing online.

According to Page Six, after the Kimmel gig Prince then performed a secret show in Hollywood. The intimate show before a crowd of 200 took place at the Sayers Club, with Christina Aguilera, will.i.am, Adam Levine, Nicki Minaj and others apparently in attendance.
'Rock 'n' Roll Love Affair' has been released to radio, but there’s no word yet as to whether the song will lead to an entire album of new material.
