Depeche Mode have added an additional London O2 show to their 2013 schedule after tickets for their 28 May 2013 show sold out in record time this morning.

The band will now perform two shows - wth the second date taking place the following night, 29 May 2013. Tickets are on sale now.

They also released a video featuring an in-studio collage, hinting at the new record. The video features a new song that sounds reminiscient of 1993 hit 'I Feel You'.

The band teased fans with a preview of the new album at their press conference yesterday, which was live-streamed from Paris, as they played a untitled track from the group's upcoming 13th studio release.

Martin Gore, one of the group's founding members, said of the new record: "It's got a bit of a feel of Violator on some of the songs and a feel of Songs of Faith and Devotion on other songs.

"It's a bit of a hybrid of those two for me."

He added: "I am very happy with the new album and I think there are at least three or four songs that are up there with the very best that we've done.

The band are aiming to have the album finished by the end of the year, with an approximate November deadline.

Dave Gahan told Spin earlier this year: "We have a deadline of the end of November, and there's no reason we why we won't meet that at the rate we're going."

The 2013 world tour includes one date - out of a mammoth 34 - at London's O2 arena, on May 28.
