Robbie Williams is set to turn on the Christmas lights on London's Oxford Street on the same day he releases his new album, Take The Crown.
The 'Candy' star announced the plans on Heart FM's breakfast show, and spoke of his excitement at being involved in the festivities.
"Oxford Street is a fantastic place to do your Christmas shopping and it's great to be part of the celebrations." Robbie told show hosts JK and Lucy. "I can’t believe I am turning on the lights! Take the Crown is released on the same day and I'm looking forward to performing for the amazing crowds."
Robbie will be joined on stage by Leona Lewis and boyband Lawson, who will perform at the event. For the first time ever, the event will be ticketed, with tens of thousands expected to attend. Tickets will be free.

Heart FM presenters Emma Bunton and Jamie Theakston will host the show on 5 November, 2012 and the event takes place outside House Of Fraser on Oxford Street. Bunton and Theakston will reveal how fans can get tickets on 29 October, 2012.
Williams will perform on X Factor on Sunday night and has this week been mentoring contestants behind the scenes on the show. His presence has caused friction with his former Take That bandmate over Robbie's liking for flamboyant contestant, Rylan Clark.
Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack told ITN earlier this week: "I know that Robbie Williams is on the show on Sunday and I know he has been visiting the X Factor contestants already.
"Robbie is the biggest Rylan fan. He absolutely adores Rylan. He says that being in the show is all about being an entertainer, whereas Gary doesn't want that this year.
"I quite like the way there is a little bit of rivalry going on between them again."
