US magazine Lucky has issued an apology to their readers after heavily photoshopping a front-cover featuring Britney Spears.
The style and fashion publication 'Lucky' released their latest issue with Spears on the cover, but it was poorly received with many claiming the star was unrecognisable, and that she was wearing a wig.
Lucky have not admitted that Britney is indeed wearing a wig in the cover photo, but they did take to Twitter to issue an apology to offended readers.
The magazine said: "Thank you all for sharing your thoughts on our cover! As always, we will share with our team and we're sorry to have let some of you down."

It is common place for style magazines to alter cover images in a celebrity-obsessed industry, but this instance received a particularly fierce response from fans.
Readers cited a "horrendous wig" and the fact that her teeth looked 'unnaturally white' as reasons for their outrage.
Despite well-documented personals issue in the past, the 30-year-old has retained a massive fan-base.
The fact that the 'Hit Me Baby One More Time' star has been through such tribulations and come out the other side could be a reason why there is such a backlash from fans when they feel she is portrayed unfavourably.
One fan tweeted: "Did @britneyspears even show up for the photoshoot or did you just photoshop her face on a body[?]"
The X Factor USA judge also took part in an interview with the magazine. The questions and answers proved to be largely inoffensive, but the same could not be said for the accompanying photoshoot.
In the interview the Mum of two spoke of how her two young sons think she is a 'superhero' when she judges alongside Simon Cowell on the talent show.
She said: "The boys try to figure out where I go when I go film X Factor. They're like, 'Mommy's going off to be a superhero.'"
