Gary Barlow is set to have a cameo appearance in an episode of BBC1 sitcom Miranda.
The singer will play a love interest of title character Miranda, and will have to avoid advances from both Miranda herself - and her onscreen mother. A BBC spokesman said that Gary, who is playing himself, will "get friendly in an unexpected way" with Miranda Hart.
Gary has already visited the set to shoot his part, with a source telling The Sun, "He has already filmed his scenes. The cast were thrilled he took part."
Miranda and Gary have worked together previously during the celebrations for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee earlier this year.

Gary's recently announced solo tour sold out in minutes last month - leaving many fans disappointed at being unable to purchase tickets to see the Take That star's solo shows.
In fact, the demand was so high that the Take That member added an extra date to the tour at the Hammersmith Apollo.
Barlow took to Twitter to announce the new date and thank fans for the support, writing: "I've heard you're all buying lots of tickets ! I'm adding one extra date now ! Hammersmith Apollo 27th December.
"Thank you so much for showing your support for my live dates ! I promise you a night to remember !"
He added: "Sorry to everyone who didn't get tickets ! We didn't know how strong the demand would be."
