1 November, 2012: Alt-J were the big winners of the 2012 Mercury Music Prize last night, but a special mention must go to award rivals Django Django and their matching attire on the Mercurys red carpet.
Alt-J's ramshakle collections of suits and ties paled in comparison to the silk shirts sported by the Edinburgh four-piece, showing outfit unity not seen outside of the boyband world. We just wish we had similar wardrobes.
Elsewhere, female nominees Jessie Ware and Liane La Havas looked stunning in black and white respectively, while Hackney rapper Plan B had trouble containing his excitement as he posed for photographers on the red carpet.
Alt-J looked thrilled as they posed with their award, but maybe that was just the alcohol. The band had earlier spoken of their plans to get 'very drunk' after the awards - whether they won or not.
