Chris Brown may have caused eyebrows to raise and eyes to roll as he dressed up as a Taliban terrorist for Halloween, but the star can always count on his mum to support his actions.

The star's mother, Joyce Hawkins, has stepped in to defend her son's choice of costume after he has come under criticism for the outfit.

She took to her Twitter and wrote, "Halloween is for fun, nothing more than just fun. Get a life please...

"So does this mean when we dress our kids as Satan we glorifying him or (is) it just out of fun?... Keep smiling angel."

There's nothing quite like having your mum come to the rescue, after all.
