Well, if there's ever a shortage of lasers in the world then we know who's got them - the light shows at the Mercury Prize last night featured futuristic laser displays in abundance.
The nominees all took to the stage last night to show the Mercury judges exactly what they've got, and prove to everyone all over again why they deserve to win. Sadly, there can only be one winner - and Alt-J walked away with the £20,000 prize - but that's not to say that the other nominees didn't put up a good fight.
From outsiders Roller Trio and their raucous jazz stylings to the more mainstream politically charged rap of Plan B, talent was in no short supply at the Roundhouse last night.
