X Factor contestant Lucy Spraggan is facing elimination from the show, after insider reports claimed that she is still too unwell to perform on this weekend's show.

Reports claim that the singer/songwriter, who made X Factor history as the first ever contestant to perform original material on the show, has not attended any of this week's rehearsals. Fellow contestants have spent the week in the TV studio preparing for tomorrow night's (3 November, 2012) live show.

The Irish Independent claims that if she is unable to perform for a second week running, she will be removed from the competition.

Spraggan missed last week's show due to a severe bout of flu. This week she missed out on attending the Cosmo awards with her fellow contestants due to her illness.

"It will be the right reason for her to leave but we’re all here for her,” her fellow contestant Rylan Clark told Entertainmentwise earlier this week.

“It’s just the medication she’s on and how she’s reacting. As long as she gets through that she’ll be back on that stage fighting fit.”

Spraggan was recently seen dressed as a pumpkin for Rylan Clark's birthday

It had been previously suggested that Spraggan was considering quitting the show as she was unhappy singing cover versions - but those reports have also been denied by Clark.

Spraggan gained a free pass to this weekend's show but producers are said to be unlikely to repeat the gesture.
