The Vaccines played a secret show at an Icelandic hotel as part of the Iceland Airwaves festival.

The show, which took place at Kex Hostel in Reykjavik, was a surprise for the fans and involved the band playing a cover of 'Ó Reykjavík', which is a song by local Icelandic band Vonbrigði.

During the song, Árni Hjörvar - the band's Icelandic bassist - swapped places with frontman Justin Young in order to perform it.

The band chose the name Bóluefnin to perform under as it is a literal translation of 'The Vaccines' into Icelandic.

The Vaccines recently announced a five date UK tour, to take place in the spring of 2013.

The short tour kicks off at Margate's Winter Gardens on 1 May 2013, with the following shows in London, Carlisle and Leeds - and a final show at the Cymru Arena in Llandudno on 6 May.

The band are also on tour this month, and which is already sold out. The band's O2 show is the biggest date of their career and was announced in September of this year.
