Radio 1 told The Sun newspaper a few days earlier that they're refusing to play Robbie Williams' new single - because the singer is too old to be relevant.
And despite Robbie's track 'Candy' being the star's first number one single in eight years, it seems that Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw agrees with the decision.
Nick was talking to 5 News and said that he doesn't think Robbie is young enough to connect to the listeners. He said, "I don't know if he's now for a Radio 1 audience. I've never listened to a Robbie Williams song but I really like him.
"To 13 and 14-year-olds he's not relevant... they've got One Direction. I liked Take That when I was little, but I'm not little anymore."
He did play 'Candy' on his show however, and said "I quite like the new song."
Incidentally, 'Candy' is the fastest selling single by a male artist this year.

Tonight, Robbie Williams is turning on the Christmas lights and meeting fans in London.
Robbie is turning on the Christmas lights as part of the launch of his new album, Take The Crown, and will be joined by both Leona Lewis and boyband Lawson - who will both also be performing at the event.
For the first time, the Christmas lights turn on is going to be ticketed, with tens of thousands expected to be attending.
Robbie previously spoke to Heart FM about looking forward to the event, telling the hosts, "Oxford Street is a fantastic place to do your Christmas shopping and it's great to be part of the celebrations.
"I can’t believe I am turning on the lights! Take The Crown is released on the same day and I'm looking forward to performing for the amazing crowds."
