Lets face it - Madonna and Lady Gaga are never going to be friends. It's just not going to happen. Just days after Madonna seemingly paid a compliment to her 'Born This Way' rival on a TV appearance with Ellen, the MDNA star is back to bashing Gaga during her live shows. Watch a video of the incident below.
This time around however, Madonna has taken aim at not only Gaga but her Little Monsters as well, saying her fans are the best in the world - and hitting out at Gaga for refusing her invite to join her on stage.
Madonna hit out at her rival and her fanbase during a live show in St.Paul, Minnesota, telling her audience: "I have the best fans in the whole world. So take that, Lady Gaga!
"You know, I invited her on stage to sing with me. But, she turned me down. It's okay. I've been rejected before, it builds a little character."
She then encouraged her fans to vote in the current US elections.
Madonna has criticised Gaga heavily in 2012 for the similarities between her track 'Born This Way' and Madonna's own hit 'Express Yourself'. When asked previously about similarities between the tracks, Madonna said: "I thought, 'What a wonderful way to redo my song'. I mean, I recognised the chord changes. I thought it was... interesting."
Madonna had kind words for Gaga during her appearance on Ellen
Madonna recently appeared on Ellen Degeneres US chat show - and appeared to have kind words for Gaga, complimenting her vocals during an interview while discussing her rivals.
"I know everyone's waiting on the edge of their seats for this so I'm playing this one out," she said during her appearance on Ellen, before saying: "Good voice."
During an Atlantic City performance in September of this year, Madonna revealed she had invited Gaga to join her on stage - but had been refused.
"I love her. I love her. I do love her. Imitation is the highest form of flattery," Madonna told her fans, before adding: "And one day, very soon, we're gonna be on stage together. Just you wait."
