Blink-182 members Tom Delonge and Mark Hoppus took to their Twitter accounts today to promise fans new music in time for Christmas.
Their recent split from Interscope must have done the band some good, with Mark Hoppus insisting that the band are better than they've been in years - as we should hopefully find out for ourselves next month.
Yesterday, guitarist Tom Delonge posted on Twitter, "New Blink EP for x mas... :)"
Mark Hoppus also tweeted, writing, "We're releasing some new blink-182 songs in a few weeks. Watch this space."
He added, "Finished tracking bass for this batch of songs!" before posting a photo of his bass guitar on Instagram.
In an interview with CBS Local, Hoppus said, "We're really stoked. It's a great time in our band right now. We're better amongst ourselves than we've been in years. It's a real positive, excited energy between the three of us."
Mark Hoppus posted the above image of his bass on Instagram.
Hoppus said, "I don't know exactly what’s going on. I saw what happened onstage, and then I saw the announcement like two days later or whatever it was that he was checking himself in to get help.
"I think that's great if it's what he needs, and I wish them all the best. They're an amazing band and really cool guys, and I hope that all is good in their world."
Hoppus continued by adding, "Other than what I've heard in the news, I don't know enough. I hope that Billie's good, I hope that the band is in a good place and I wish them nothing but health and success for sure."
