X Factor boss Simon Cowell is said to be planing to give Tulisa the boot from her judging role on the show - and hire Cheryl Cole in her place.
The talent show boss is said to be planning a huge shake-up on the show after the 2012 series was met with falling ratings, being weekly beaten by BBC rival, Strictly Come Dancing.
Despite previous rumours that Cowell was planning to return Cole to the show alongside a 'best-of' line up of judges including Sharon Osbourne and Dannii Minogue, tabloid reports claim that he plans to have Cole alongside current judge, Nicole Scherzinger.
"Simon sees Cheryl and Nicole as the dream team. He believes those two women on the show would pull in viewers and make it so much more appealing than the current series," says a show source to The Mirror, who claims Cowell will tempt Cole back to the show with a huge pay deal.
"Simon thinks people would watch it in their droves so he is currently lining up an audacious bid to offer her," the source adds.

Other attempts to revive flagging interest in the show include repeat performances from One Direction, who have apparently been drafted in to appear to lure back viewers.
Cowell is also said to be concerned that contestant Christopher Maloney is drawing double the votes of any other artist on the show.
