Rihanna has unveiled the full version of her brand new track 'Stay' during an appearance on Saturday Night Live in the US. Watch a video of the performance below.
The track is taken from her upcoming seventh album Unapologetic. The album version is a duet with hotly-tipped new singer/songwriter Mikky Ekko. 'Stay' is a heartfelt ballad, and a far-cry from the hi-energy sounds of hits such as 'S&M' or 'We Found Love'.
Dressed in a gold and black dress and with a new longer hairstyle to the cropped cut she has been sporting recently, Rihanna was backed by a live band for the performance and proved that she can do subtle with the same ease as she can controversial.
'Stay' was among a number of new tracks previewed earlier this week from the new album, which also includes new collaborations with David Guetta and Chris Brown. The Brown duet, 'Nobody's Business' is yet to be premiered.
Rihanna was introduced on the show by Hollywood actress, Anne Hathaway.
Earlier this week Rihanna performed current single 'Diamonds' on the runway of the New York Victoria's Secret show, joining Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars - and a room full of scantily clad models.
She also premiered the full official video for 'Diamonds', which is the first official single to be taken from her new album, Unapologetic.
