The Killers have announced they will play Wembley Stadium next summer.

The gig will be the Las Vegas rockers' biggest ever London show. It will take place on 22 June 2013.

Tickets for the gig go on sale this Friday at 9am and will be available for a price of £35-£65.

The news follows the release of the band's fourth studio album Battle Born in September.

Brandon Flowers and co are currently on an Arena tour of the UK that has already seen them rock venues including Birmingham's LG Arena.

Continuing tonight with a show at Manchester Arena, the tour will conclude on Saturday with the second of two sold out shows at London's O2 Arena.

The timing of the Wembley Stadium gig has the potential to be a catalyst for rumours of a performance at next year's Glastonbury festival.

The 'Mr Brightside' stars last played at Worthy Farm in 2007 when they headlined the Pyramid stage.

The announcement of the stadium show also comes after Brandon Flowers last week said he would relish the chance to work with fellow stadium-fillers, Muse.

Details of the remainder of The Killers' November 2012 UK Arena tour are below. Tickets for their Wembley Stadium show are on sale at 9am, 16 November, 2012. For more information visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
