In the latest twist in the Savile saga, the much-loved radio presenter Dave Lee Travis has been arrested.
Travis, 67, was arrested at 7:45am on suspicion of sexual offences at his home in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.
Travis is the fourth person to be arrested by officers from the Metropolitan Police's Operation Yewtree, which was initiated following numerous posthumous allegations against Jimmy Savile which shocked the nation.
The radio presenter and former Top Of The Pops host is not accused of paedophillia, but two women have recently accused him of groping them in the 70s and 80s.
One woman claimed that Travis invited her in to his studio and put his hand up her skirt in 1977, when she was 17.
When the allegations first surfaced last month the radio personality staunchly rebuffed the accusations, saying: "I categorically deny that there is any substance in either allegation and I'm genuinely surprised that allegations of this nature have been made. I totally refute any impropriety."
The DJ also made it clear that he was happy to speak to police to clear the matter up.
Dave Lee Travis first made a name for himself in the mid 60s on Radio Caroline, before moving to Radio 1 in 1968.
He took over from Noel Edmunds as presenter of the station's breakfast show in 1978, earning him the nickname 'the Hairy Cornflake'.

Between 1974 and 1984 he also presented Top Of The Pops.
He left Radio 1 in 1993 with a dramatic on-air resignation in protest to changes at the station.
Between 1981 and 2001 Travis hosted the BBC World Service programme A Jolly Good Show.
In June last year Burmese democratic Aung San Suu Kyi said the programme had made her 'world much more complete'.
A Top Of The Pops special, remembering the charts in this week of 1977 and hosted by Travis, was due to air tonight but has been postponed due to the arrest.
