Mancunian fans of The Killers will be cheered by the news that the band have rescheduled their cancelled Manchester shows.

The Las Vegas rockers cut their show in the Manchester MEN Arena short after just five songs on Tuesday, and completely scrapped their second night in Manchester.

A viral infection that made singer Brandon Flowers too ill to continue his performance was given as the reason for the cancellations.

Flowers apologised to the Manchester crowd saying: "I'm sorry I've never had to do this before but we've got to stop. I can't sing... I don't know what else to tell you. I'm Sorry. I know it's frustrating for you and I'm sorry. I promise that we will come back."

Keeping his promise, the band have scheduled shows in Manchester for the 17th and 18th of February next year.

Tickets for the cancelled shows remain valid for the rebooked shows, with the exception of standing tickets which will be reissued to customers by their original ticketing agents.
