The Big Bang Theory cast and crew surprised the audience at a live taping of the show - by breaking out into a flash mob dance to Carly Rae Jepsen hit 'Call Me Maybe'. Watch the video below.

The video shows the cast preparing for another take of a scene when 'Call Me Maybe' starts playing, leaving the cast and showrunners - who are looking on - confused.

The crew members start to perform the dance routine, which was choreographed by Kaley Cuoco's (who plays Penny) sister. And it's not long before the cast members - Kunal Nayyar (Raj), Simon Helberg (Howard), Johnny Galecki (Leonard), Mayim Bialik (Amy), Melissa Rauch (Bernadette), and Cuoco (Penny) - all join in.

Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon, stays in character however - although he refuses to join in, he does end the clip with a perfectly timed "Bazinga!".

The video was filmed during an episode taping on Thursday 23 October, and the flash mob was a surprise to the audience members and the executive producers.

Cuoco posted the video on her Facebook page, writing, "Hello to our awesome Big Bang fans! Finally the moment has come... All my dreams have come true...

"Yes, my dream to have a live, full out, dance routine for the world to see, has finally happened... I present to you... The Big Bang Theory Flash mob!(This literally was the best night of my entire life) Enjoy!!

"PS. A special thanks to the cast and bad-ass crew, for going all in, and making it a night to remember! Pss. My sister Bri choreographed the entire routine!"
