Rihanna touched down in London yesterday for a whistle-stop set of live commitments before jetting off on the next leg of her 777 tour.
Already out of the country this morning (20 November, 2012) Rihanna hit London to turn on the Christmas lights at London's Westfield shopping centre in Stratford - performing her hit single 'Diamonds' for 20,000 fans who turned out to see the star. It wasn't a smooth ride however, with fans complaining that the star was an hour late to take to the stage - and barely engaged in any banter with her audience.
Rihanna earned half a million for her appearance at the East London shopping complex, but her lateness and brief appearance led fans to question her enormous fee.
"It’s ridiculous," said one fan to The Sun newspaper. "I was surprised she only did one song given the fee she was paid. She didn’t even finish it."
Rihanna left London this morning (20 November) for her New York 777 show
Feedback on her Kentish Town Forum last night has been more positive however, with fans and critics celebrating her show at the 1,450 capacity venue.
Still struggling with her time-keeping however, Rihanna took to the stage of the North London venue after 10pm last night (19 November, 2012) - after earlier announcing a stage time of 7pm.
The show lasted nearly two hours, giving the intimate audience a rare opportunity to see the star live outside of the stadium shows she is more usually seen performing. Rihanna performed a collection of some of her biggest hits at the show after a relentless string of shows on her 777 tour.
The Metro reports that the show was not without technical hitches however, pausing to yell at sound engineers for the backing track during 'Where Have You Been'.
