Ella Henderson may no longer be in the running for this year's X Factor title but her career is on the up, with record labels thrusting huge cash offerings in her direction in the hopes of signing the young singer.
Henderson - who was eliminated from The X Factor on last weekend's show - is said to be the subject of a bidding war from a number of major record labels, who see the 16-year-old as a future Leona Lewis or Adele. Reports suggest Columbia, Epic, RCA and Simon Cowell's own SYCO label are all hoping to sign the star, who remains managed by her father. In previous years, Simon Cowell is said to have had the first pick on finalists after their elimination from the show.
Cowell aims to make the singer as big as Leona Lewis, who recently scored a No.7 hit with her single 'Trouble', and wants to launch her as a star in the UK and America.
"Ella is the most exciting thing to have come out of this year’s X Factor," says a tabloid source to The Sun. "Simon can’t believe she got the boot but he’s not losing any sleep over it as he can see the pound signs in his eyes.
"He’s confident Syco will get her but if she goes elsewhere within Sony he’s still quids in."

Henderson said she was 'gutted' after being eliminated from the show after last weekend's show. She told ITV's This Morning: "I do feel massively gutted, I would've loved to have made it through to the finals... everyone in that situation would."
She added that it was hard being in the show's bottom two alongside fellow contestant James Arthur, as the pair had become close on the show.
"We're both northern, we're both grounded, and we're both on the same level of where we want to go as artists and we said to each other just before we came out, 'whatever happens here, it doesn't matter...'"
