A new Jimi Hendrix album entitled People, Hell and Angels is set for a 2013 release, made up of music recorded by Hendrix in 1968 and 1969.
The 'lost' album was recorded when Hendrix was working on music separate to The Jimi Hendrix experience and, according to the Jimi Hendrix website, sees the legendary guitarist going on in a more experimental direction.
He was thinking about whether or not to add the songs to First Rays of the New Rising Sun, which was to be the follow-up to Electric Ladyland, and planned to be a double album.
The website describes the sound as, "Hendrix toys with horns, keyboards, percussion and a second guitar, exploring fresh diversions from his legendary guitar work."
Hendrix died in 1970 but that doesn't seem to have stopped him from releasing music, as at least one Jimi Hendrix album has still been released every year or so for the past ten years - all made up of original live or unreleased material.
People, Hell and Angels is due to be released on 5 March 2013.

Next week will also see Jimi Hendrix in cinemas. His 1969 Woodstock festival set is to be shown in cinemas around the country, in order to coincide with what would be his 70th birthday.
It shows Hendrix performing 'Voodoo Child (Slight Return)', 'Fire' and 'Purple Haze' amongst others, and will be screened along with the film Live at Woodstock.
The cinematic event will be shown from 29 November at more than 30 cinemas across the UK.
