Gary Barlow seems to be Christopher Maloney's biggest fan. The X Factor judge is convinced that people would be willing to spend money if Maloney released an album.
While fellow judge Tulisa recently said that she doesn't think Maloney could sell records, it seems that Gary Barlow disagrees.
When asked on The Xtra Factor whether the public would give Maloney any record sale success, Barlow said, "They would, I think they would.
"If people are voting for him there is clearly people out there willing to spend money on a phone call, I’m sure there are people willing to spend money on albums."
However, the "success" - or lack of it - for past winners would seem to disprove Barlow's logic.
Barlow also commended Maloney for dealing with the death threats and diva rumours in a very positive way - by simply deleting his Twitter account.
Chris Maloney - would you buy an album by this man?
The Take That member told The X Factor website, "I think he's managed it brilliantly. If these things were being said about me, I'd be cursing and lashing out.
"I really admire how he's taken the negative things being said about him in his stride. I really respect that."
He added, "I only know what I see. For me, he's really easy to work with. Whenever I'm around him, he's the loveliest, sweetest man ever... he's happy as Larry."
