Friendly Fires are headlining a gig in memory of housemate Adam Connolly, who committed suicide earlier this month.

The gig is to take place at London's XOYO, and is aiming to raise funds and awareness to prevent male suicide. Tickets cost £20, with the event starting at 8pm.

The night will see live performances from Friendly Fires and Cheatahs, with 'secret' live guests still to be announced. DJs so far announced include The Horrors, Chapel Club and The Holy Trinity, amongst others, with Mat Horne hosting the event.

The event is set to take place on 12 December, with the description on the Facebook page reading, "The friends and family of Adam Connolly, who tragically took his own life on 14th November, have joined together to organise a party on Wednesday 12th December to celebrate his life and to raise awareness and funds to prevent suicide among young men.

"Perhaps it sounds a tad predictable in these kind of circumstances but we wanted to do something that celebrates Adam's life, his amazing creativity, and his beautiful warm, kind soul as well as showing how much we deeply love and miss him.

"The evening of the 12th is our way of sharing a little bit of happiness around recent events by picking out some music by a selection of bands and djs that mean something to Adam in one way or another.

"I really hope you can make it along."

Any profits from the event are going to a charity chosen by Adam's family.
